Oatlands Park Hotel

"We had a one night stay at the hotel. We were welcomed by a friendly efficient reception team. We were told the restaurant was full for that evening but when we said how disappointed we were the receptionist organised a table for us. We had a lovely meal served by very friendly staff. Our room was very clean and welcoming. We sat in the garden for a drink. Our drinks were brought to us by the bar staff, again all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was busy but very quiet at night and we had a very comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was very good with an excellent choice and prompt friendly service. Thanks for a great stay. We would recommend you."

"The Hotel is set within the sprawling grounds which includes a wonderfully maintained golf course despite the current heatwave conditions. I was warmly greeted when checking in and got a lot of steps in getting to my room but was rewarded with a room with a view of the course and everything I needed to enjoy my stay. I used the onsite gym which had new equipment in great working condition which provided a good sweat and pump. I decided to dine elsewhere with Reading being only a few miles away. The bed was extremely comfortable and provided a well-needed night's rest with breakfast options being varied allowing for a great start to the day. The staff were very helpful and the hotel was impeccable."
Danesfield House Hotel And Spa

"BEAUTIFUL grounds and main hotel areas, super helpful and welcoming staff. The room itself had basic amenities, and smelt like it was an ex- smokers room. May just be that the soft furnishings needed replacing. The room was dated and needed an upgrade. It would have been good to have a safe in the room too. Everything else about the hotel was wonderful and it was a shame it was only a fleeting visit. Slightly overpriced considering the room itself."
Warbrook House Heritage Hotel

"I really enjoyed our one night stay at the Warbrook. We were travelling as a family of 5 plus a small dog - we therefore had a total of three rooms, 2 in the old house and one in the Grange which is about 200m away from the old house. All rooms were clean and appeared recently decorated / renovated. I was really impressed with the rooms. The bed was comfortable (a little soft to my personal taste) and the bathrooms were great with rain showers. Rooms had all the facilities one would expect - tea/coffee facilities, iron & board, hair dryer etc... The only negative I would say and this was only evident during a heatwave, was there were no airconditioning in the rooms. There were however, very capable tower fans which aided a good nights sleep - even though they were a little noisy. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful (Sonya) and the staff at breakfast were also efficient and friendly. Breakfast was really good - the sausages and the scrambled eggs are worthy of special mention. The grounds and setting are really worth half an hour to explore. I recommend walking around the lake in the early morning - I saw plenty of dear and birdlife and it opens up a spectacular vista of the old house. when we arrived, there was a wedding taking place in a part of the grounds - that said, it didn't interfere with our stay at all and no noise could be heard from our rooms. I feel that a real effort is being made by this hotel and I applaud their efforts. I would stay again."

"Had a great time room was spacious and very clean the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice clean and everything worked well. The staff were friendly and very helpful so overall we had a very enjoyable stay"
