"Pleasant personal experience"
We booked a last minute double room and got an en-suite twin room on the ground floor at the back of the building, which turned out to be much more modern than some other rooms we booked before in the same hotel. The following night I wanted to book a single room and hotel staff was very helpfull and gave me one of the nicer rooms on the first floor for a bargain. From experience I know that you could also get rooms which are very old fashioned, with dated furniture and ugly carpets and in urgent need for refurbishment! A real drawback in this hotel is the poor Wifi connection, you only have it very near the reception.

"Superb Value for Money"
Have just returned from a weekend stay in the Brittania Hotel and wanted to write this review whilst still fresh in my mind. We arrived on Saturday and were booked in very efficiently at reception with a very helpful member of staff. Everything was explained to us clearly and we were able to immediately occupy our room, even though we had arrived at the hotel an hour before the 3pm check in time. It is true both the lifts are small, but it was fine for 2 adults and 1 child with minimum luggage. On entering Room no 408, we were delighted at how spacious the room and bathroom were. A king size bed and bunk beds were in the room along with a wardrobe, TV and cabinet, dressing table and chair and a small occasional table with another chair which was useful. Also, hot drink making facilities, a clean kettle with coffee and tea as you would expect. (By the way, contrary to another review, the coffee and tea bags were not 'essentials quality,' but of a higher good standard.) Everything was clean, fresh and as one would expect. Thick towels soft and white, and two sinks in the bathroom were helpful. Lovely bar area with friendly staff served us our drinks before we went into dinner Saturday evening. The food was amazing and we made pigs of ourselves with the all you can eat buffet. Our starter was a choice of a smooth vegetable soup, or sliced juicy pineapple. The soup was delicious! We also had a choice of succulent sliced beef in gravy, chicken in a delicious sauce, fish (plaice) i

Britannia Hotels own 51 hotels across the UK. The hotel brand is committed to offering guests the best quality accommodation at the best value for money. You'll find a number of Britannia hotels in the beautiful county of Dorset, set in a variety of locations, from the centre of town to virtually sitting on the sands of some of the county's best-loved beaches. Britannia hotels in Dorset come a range of shapes and sizes, from intimate and comfortable hotels, to sleek, chic, modern establishments.

Great Accommodation at Great Rates: Britannia Hotels in Dorset

Hotels that sport the Britannia logo are well known for offering great accommodation at great rates. As a result, they are often popular with businessmen who are stopping over for a night or two, but don't want to forsake the creature comforts offered by quality establishments. The Royal Bath Hotel in Bournemouth, has everything for the modern business traveller: in addition to its proximity to the Bournemouth International Centre, it has its own gymnasium, a superb restaurant and offers high-speed internet access. In addition, the hotel is well positioned by the seafront and boasts its own grounds, for those who want to remain far from the madding crowd!

    Hotels for Families

However, Britannia hotels also appeal to those who want to enjoy a longer stay, but don't want to break the bank. The value for money aspect is ideal for families, who want an extended stay, but are money-mindful. The Heathlands Hotel, also in Bournemouth, is the perfect choice for groups, being positioned in the town centre yet with the seven sandy miles of Bournemouth Beach just a short walk away. This hotel also has an appeal for those who want to host their own business meetings; the Heathlands Hotel has its own conference centre.

    Themed Breaks

Special occasions are something of a forte with Britannia Hotels. Many of their hotels, such as the Britannia Bournemouth, offer themed breaks, such as wine tasting weekends and sixties music weekends. These are ideal for those who have something to celebrate but don't want all the fuss or organising it themselves.

Dorset is a beautiful county to visit at any time of year. Booking a room in a Britannia hotel assures of certain standards of excellence, but without the bills associated with larger chains.
