"Excellent position for visiting Exeter"
A really useful and interesting visit as a stop off on route to Cornwall. The only downside was the cost of parking opposite - it seems to have recently been increased to over £10

"Decent Hotel away from City Centre"
The hotel and rooms are spacious and the bar and restaurant are of an exceptional standard. The only peev is the room was cold despite turning off the A.C and turning up the temperature. You're also looking at £8-10 taxi fare to get into the centre if you don't drive as it's definitely on the outskirts. However the staff are pleasant and helpful and you'll get value for money here.

"Nice for Plymouth seafront"
We chose this hotel as an option to the chains. Nice place, clean, tidy and well decorated. Has a few quirks that go with old buildings. Staff good and friendly. A bit of personality which you don't get with the chains. Bar area nice. Breakfast good. Will use again if needed. Managed to park, free, at the back of the hotel.

"Ok for business"
The hotel is old, tired and run down although there was some renovation/decoration work whilst I was there. My room was an adequate size with old 1970's furniture and decoration. It was all rather tired and gloomy but it was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. The TV was a large flat screen. There were Tea and Coffee making facilities in the room. The window opened to cool the room and let some air in, and even though right on a road it was still quite enough to sleep with the window open all night. The en suite toilet and shower worked well but were very old and the floor moved to much for my liking, as if someone had flooded the floor and it had not dried properly. The breakfast was cooked to order and rather tasty. The problem was they don't open until 7.30am on a Monday (7.00am for the rest of the week) and I had to leave at 7.40am. This room was newly decorated and looked good except for the old bedraggled seats. The reception is unmanned and I had to go into the bar to check in on arrival. Check out was a basket in which to leave your key. All the staff were friendly and pleasant. There are no lifts but I was offered help to take my bulky kit up the narrow house type stairs I couldn't leave it in my car. There is limited parking at the front, although I managed to park both evenings and it's convenient for the railway station. All in all I would stay there again as it's convenient for where I was working but I wouldn't pay a lot.

"Near to ferry"
Booked this hotel because it was near to the ferry for our crossing to France. Also, we are a family of four so we needed a family room that would accommodate us all.The owners were friendly and welcoming without being over the top. They made sure we had everything we needed. An early breakfast was available, which was a 'take away' breakfast. Liked that it was a hotel with 'green credentials'. Thought that everything had been well thought out - such as an iron and ironing board available on the landing.

Pocket Guide: Hotels with WiFi Hotels in Devon

Visitors flock to Devon each year for its wonderfully varied landscapes, which offer a great range of outdoors activities. These include everything from boating off the dramatic Jurassic coastline to rambling and cycling on Dartmoor. The great cities of Plymouth and Exeter are packed with sights of cultural and historic interest, and there are many excellent accommodation options liberally sprinkled across the county. You can find everything from humble but cosy and comfortable B&Bs to boutique and spa hotels at the top end of the market, so whether you're heading for the wilds of Exmoor or the luxuries of the English Riviera you'll be spoilt for choice.

    Fast WiFi at Devon Hotels

Broadband speeds are getting faster all the time, and with easy access to home routers you'll almost certainly be able to access the internet even in a modest B&B or guesthouse in Devon. Many of the bigger hotels, especially those targeting the business community, will offer the very best broadband speeds available, but wherever you stay you can expect WiFi access at least in the public parts of your hotel. You may sometimes have to pay extra for in-room service, so it depends really on your requirements. If you have kids in your group it's usually a good idea to ensure that you pick a hotel with fast broadband, so they'll be able to stay plugged in to their games and social media.

    Devon Hotels for Faster Broadband

Even the smaller guesthouses and family-run B&B accommodation along the Exe Valley and in other parts of rural Devon will often have WiFi provision for guests who are increasingly coming to expect it. With equipment like routers and signal boosters now so readily available at nominal cost, it's a simple matter to set up a home network as another useful provision along with the comfortable bed and full English breakfast.

Visitors to Devon, as those elsewhere, are increasingly coming to expect good broadband provision as this continues to be rolled out across the country. Hotel owners have been quick on the uptake when it comes to getting fast broadband connectivity in their establishments, and Devon hotels usually have good internet speeds throughout public and private spaces in the building.
