"Lovely hotel close to the beach"
This hotel is comfortable and beautifully furnished in 'boutique' style. It is close to a lovely sandy bay beach and all amenities. Amelia the owner is an excellent hotelier, nothing too much trouble and service is first-rate.

"Excellent stop over. Would return"
Myself and my two children stayed for a night in august. The hotel is in an excellent location right next to the castle with sea views and parking to the front. The food was excellent. The staff were very hard working and couldn't do enough for us. The room was clean and spacious. The tv was a bit small but it was new and did the job & who goes on holiday to watch the tv anyway. The carpeting and decoration was in the main recent. I would say it's the best of your typical sea front b&b hotels and definitely exceeded my expectations based on its star rating.

"Lovely Hotel"
Lovely hotel right next to the beach. Receptionist friendly and welcoming and showed us to our room. The room was very very nice with a duel aspect window with great views. Very clean and was nicely decorated and well stocked with the tea and coffee. Good size clean bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful, good choice and fresh, tasted fabulous. Did not want to come away, well worth the price charged. Plenty in area to do.

"Couldn't have asked for more"
I stayed here for a long weekend with a friend in early June. Great views overlooking the beach and castle, located within a 40 minute drive of the main Snowdon car parks. Car park can be a bit cramped, though there are clearly marked bays that help. We were greeted upon arrival from one of the very friendly owners, who was happy to show us our room and recommend local restaurants. Both our room and en-suite were clean and tidy - not huge, but plenty of room for the two of us. Decent shower. We didn't use it, but there was also a digital TV in the room and hairdyer. We also made use of the free WiFi which although is not blazingly fast, does the job fine for social media and web browsing. The beds are comfortable with both soft and firm pillows, had a great night's sleep. Quality not quantity seems to be the main focus for breakfast with the usual array of cereals, juices, yoghurts and fruit offered alongside either a full English, or pancakes with syrup and tea/coffee. The yoghurts and full English were excellent, with a view looking out to sea from the breakfast room. We didn't venture as far as the lounge, but it did look nice in there.

"A gem of a guest house with beautiful views"
We arrived on a blustery day to be welcomed by Karen who made a pot of coffee for us to have in the lounge when we had taken our luggage to our room. She was very helpful and recommended a lovely restaurant across on the seafront for us to have dinner that evening. The beds were very comfortable and their were very nice toiletries in the room. The next morning we met the proprietor Julie who served our breakfast which was plentiful and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff to make sure our stay was comfortable. Glyn-y-Coed had an enviable view of the ocean and seafront which was just 5 minutes walk away. Other local attractions were all in easy reach of Criccieth so it was an ideal situation for touring the area. Car parking onsite was easy and convenient. We have definite plans to go back for another stay in the future. Highly recommended. Thank you Julie and Karen for lovely stay.

    Pocket Guide: Criccieth

Criccieth is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the northwest of Wales, a position which has earned it the spectacular nickname ‘The Pearl Of Wales On The Shores Of Snowdonia’. Stay in any of the hotels, apartments, guesthouses or luxury lodges which cluster around this gem of a seaside town and you’ll understand exactly how it has earned such an epithet.

The exact location of Criccieth, on the Cardigan Bay shore of the Lynn peninsula, virtually guarantees that every hotel, guesthouse or hostel, whether offering luxury accommodation or clean but basic rooms for adventurous backpackers, will provide a stunning view. Whether you’re looking out to sea, gazing back over the rolling hills of Snowdonia or taking in the romance of Criccieth Castle, staying in a hotel in Circcieth will provide ample encouragement to get out there and enjoy everything Wales has to offer.

Hotels Near the Beach in Crirccieth

Criccieth is a seaside town that boasts two beaches, and both are amply served by guesthouses and hotels. The outcrop upon which Criccieth Castle rests divides the intimate Marine beach from the larger Main beach. Beach lovers should look for the hotels that line Castle Street, running as far as Beachbank and The Esplanade, as these are all quite literally a stone’s throw from either beach. Book accommodation in one of these establishments and you’re never more than minute away from crystal clear water and the chance to swim or soak up the sun and relax.

Hotels in the Centre of Criccieth

Although the Castle and beaches form the focal point of most visits to Criccieth, the hotels, hostels and bed and breakfasts strung along the High Street represent the best place to stay if you wish to explore the commercial and shopping heart of the seaside town. Another advantage of staying in accommodation in this part of Criccieth is that the rolling green fields of the Welsh countryside are right there on your doorstep, whilst the seashore is still reasonably close.

    Historic Criccieth

Criccieth is proud of its history and you can experience it staying in one of the hotels in the old town. Nestling between the hotels along the High Street and those enjoying a seafront position, there are delightfully converted buildings now housing hotels that date back as far as the 15th or 16th century.

    Further Afield

Choosing exactly which hotel in Criccieth to stay in will depend upon which aspect of this corner of Wales you are most entranced by. You can cling to the coast if you are looking to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday, but if you venture just a little further out you can select one of the hotels around the A487 and your accommodation will be nestling on the very edge of the huge and impressive Snowdonia National Park.

Whichever choice you make, a hotel in Criccieth promises to offer you a delightful place to stay.
