Ground Floor: Open plan living space. Living area: Freesat, French Doors To Garden Dining area. Kitchen area: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine First Floor: Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed, Freeview TV Bedroom 2: Zip And Link Kingsize Bed (2 x Singles On Request), Freeview TV Shower Room: Walk-In Shower, Toilet. Electric central heating (underfloor on ground floor), electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate. Welcome pack. Enclosed courtyard with barbecue. Ymwlch Barns are a charming complex of barn conversions situated in a quiet hamlet offering beautiful mountain views and country walks. The Dutch barns (UK12872 and UK12873) are superb, semi-detached barn conversions each offering modern open plan living with a luxurious touch and lovely private hot tubs in enclosed courtyards (towels not provided). They each have a kingsize bedroom and a twin room, making them ideal for small families or couples. Kris Kin (ref OXU) is a charming detached barn conversion with oak beams, wooden floor, well-equipped kitchen and an en-suite bathroom. This property also has its own hot tub. The surroundings are alive with snowdrops in winter and bluebells in spring. The complex is a short drive away from the beach and castle at Criccieth, and a lovely selection of restaurants, cafes, shops and pubs. Situated on the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula, the area is perfect for walking and cycling with an abundance of lovely footpaths and peaceful country lanes. Just under 5 miles away is the lovely town of Porthmadog, with its pretty harbour and the start of fabulous narrow gauge steam train rides on the world famous Ffestiniog railway, which takes you deep into the heart of the magnificent Snowdonia National Park. The Italianate village of Portmeirion, zip wires and a great selection of golf courses are all close by. Beach 3 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2¼ miles. Dutch Barn One (ref UK12872), Dutch Barn Two (ref UK12873), Sonny’s Place (UK51160), and Kris Kin (ref OXU) can be booked together to accommodate up to 21 guests. We had a lovely long-weekend at the Dutch Barns One to celebrate a birthday. Facilities at the barn are very good with comfy beds, great shower/bathroom/decent kitchen etc. We had to stock up on dishwasher tablets and the salt dispenser was dry; however these are first-world problems. We loved the hot-tub (& a view to die for) and a lovely safe slate-garden for the dogs to chill in. Biggest issue was sporadic wifi and therefore use of the TV (apps) of an evening. Though I guess if you want to be away from things, this is potentially an asset! Although it is remote, it's not far from the main A road that cuts N-S from Caernarfon to Porthmadog so a great location. We were there early-March so pre-season; therefore quite a lot of the local amenities were shut - but that's to be expected.
