We stayed for two nights early July 2015 and rating the hotel as excellent on all aspects. We were very pleased and room and service was absolutley perfect. One of the very best hotels we have experienced in the world!
"Great location, modern, spacious and quiet rooms!"
The Petit Palace Santa Barbara is a well located hotel with many restaurants and bars within walking distance, and also walking distance from the gay district. The hotel and rooms are modern, clean and fresh. The rooms are spacious with good sized bathrooms (we stayed there twice on our in different rooms). Staff are friendly and very helpful with dining and touristic information. Parking is available off premises, but also within a short walk. Thank you Petit Palace Santa Barbara, we will see you soon again!
Well situated for the Canal Metro stop. Helpful friendly staff (especially Isabel in the restaurant and Carlos on the front desk).
My single room was clean and comfy. I didn't use the air conditioning so I can't comment on that
The breakfast was lovely, lots of choice, including gluten free options. Lovely toiletries, free papers. What's not to like?
I would go back if I ever go back to Madrid
Located right beside a Metro station which allows easy access to all of central Madrid. Clean with pleasant staff but rooms small and rather tired and old fashioned. One major gripe is that you have to pay an extra 20 Euros per day to use their pool/spa which is rather a con for a supposed 5 star hotel. Summary: fine as a business hotel, great for somewhere to sleep whilst visiting Madrid but rather characterless and nothing to enjoy in the hotel inself
First off let me say that the hotel is excellent. Air Conditioning, clean room, nice bed etc. The negatives: wifi spotty at best in rooms, and the biggest one: There were workmen constantly drilling and hammering in the room above us for the duration of our stay. We were constantly woken at 7am to the drilling and it went on until 7pm at night. Couldn't get any peace in our rooms.
We were very disappointed.
One kilometer north of the city center, this quintessential Spanish neighborhood draws those who want stay in a tranquil atmosphere. Described as one of the prettiest barrios in Madrid, Chamberí's tree-lined streets lead to cafés, independent shops, art galleries, and parks. With easy access to metro stations and opportunities for golf, this community also includes the charming Sorolla Museum.
