Pleasantly surprised with excellent facilities and service. Received the best service of any previous stay in Madrid at the best facilities. I'm not easily impressed but Eurostar Towers has a new fan, and they certainly earned it.
It was a nice experience except 2 points that i have to discuss of the reviews.
1/ the Wifi, shame on you to have that kind of wifi its terrible, horrible i had to go to next door restaurant any time i wana use wifi, kind of illogical a big hotel with that kind on WiFi.
2/ when i check in the reception guy hand me a keys for a room on 9 floor I didn't know those rooms was not renoviated i was kind disappointed i spent a horrible night, went back the next morining i found a pretty girl who changed my room and moved me to a nice one on 8floor.
Everything else is fine.
Nice location next to the train station. Since there is a train that goes directly from airport terminal 4 to the Chamartin train station (about a 15 min ride) for 2.60 euros, it is a good way to avoid a 30 euro taxi.
This hotel was fantastic. It would be fabulous if it were located in a better location, closer to old Madrid. We stayed there as we were attending a Real Madrid game. It was close to the metro, and the amenities and staff were great. It is located in a quite, residential neighborhood with no nightlife and few restaurant choices.
Stayed 6 days and the hotel was very handy if on business in the north of Madrid. Also very closed to Hospital Ramon y Cajal if you are visiting family If you live far from Madrid.
Breakfast is very good and wifi is OK specially if you need to be on-line and work remotely.
We spent 2 nights at Don Pio in Madrid and it was perfect. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The hotel is very elegant - but not stuffy. It is a charming hotel with lots of wood and light. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The location is perfect because there is a bus stop out front and a metro stop across the street. On the suggestion from one of their nice desk clerks, we took the bus all the way down to Puerta del Sol so we had a nice tour of the city on the way. They have a small bar in the hotel and it was really relaxing to stop in and have a drink when we got back each night.

In northern Madrid, Chamartín train station is the second-largest after Atocha. This is mainly a business district although the residential area south of it contains plush low-rise apartment blocks and houses. At the circular Plaza de Castilla, next to the bus station, loom the two iconic black leaning towers called the Puerta de Europa.
