I stayed here because the Expedia ad made it seem close to the airport but it was a $26 Euro cab ride, and in a pretty dark part of town. I signed up for the breakfast (if you pay the night before it is 6 euro as opposed to 7.50 the next day), it was VERY disappointing. The scrambled eggs were old and crusty, the bacon was just a plate of uncooked fat, and the "sausages" looked like uncooked hot dogs. There were LOTs of pastries and toast and cereal but not worth the 6 euro. I did get the shuttle back to the airport for 12 euro which was convenient. It is a decent, clean hotel for $50, I would stay again if the circumstances happened - I would just eat breakfast somewhere else.

From the check-in thru the check-out everything was as good as it could be. At the restaurant Raul makes sure that everybody is properly treated and served. His efforts make the restaurant go beyond good and enter the excellence level. I also used the conference room and got the same type of attention and services. My congratulations to all the team. In addition, less than a block away, there is a supermarket making the stay even more pleasant, because you can get some of the excellent products and fruits from Spain. All very reasonably priced.
Had a great stay at this hotel. Situated 5 min walk away from the metro station which has a direct line into the city centre for 2 euro. The hotel was very clean and comfy and staff were very helpful despite the language barrier. Only fault is the lack of chairs/loungers by the pool. Apart from this the hotel is ideal.

A wonderful hotel in a residential area of Madrid. The hotel staff are excellent and always happy to assist. Best way to get to the city centre is by bus with does not take long. So quiet at night even with the window open. Food was fabulous and the service exceptional.

I loved the local area. Residential. Local bars are like cafes - white wine - 2 euros a glass and free tapas. There were 2 smaller bar/cafes that gave you fresh fish free with every drink. The tobacco shop is great but allow for early sat closure and sunday - you can't buy ciggies unless you go to the bar and use the machine! Hotel expensive for breakfast and food so avoid as there are plenty of places to eat locally. The loo did not flush very well and the sink plug keptgetting stuck. However was given the option of a queen bed (DELIGHT!) and a smoking room (DELIGHT2)
In the north-west of the city, the area known as Ciudad Lineal (Linear City) was designed by urban planner Arturo Soria (1844 -1920). Off the long, straight tree-lined street that carries his name are primarily residential streets with some small businesses, colleges, restaurants and bars to discover. Young professionals and families are increasingly taking a shine to this green, quiet district.
