The bed was annoying for a couple, as it was supposed to be a superior double room but the bed was two single beds put together. The bed sheets were supposed to hold the two beds together, but it didn’t really work well. Sleeping together would mean one of you would end up sinking into the gap in between the two beds. "Cozy and warm place to stay. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is great too. It takes twenty minutes to get to the railway station. Highly recommend. "

"We had a lovely night here. The hotel is really clean with lots of character & beautiful gardens. Our room was cosy, the bed was really comfy & the shower was hot! Plenty of teas& coffees to use & good quality toiletries too. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice of hot food cooked to order & a good assortment of cereals., yogurts & top quality fresh fruits. Thecstaff were all very friendly & helpful. It was a 5 minute walk into Bowness or the lake. Can definitely recommend this hotel. "

"Had a fantastic stay in the Edelweisse suite for part of our honeymoon tour of the lakes. Room was spotless and awesome. Fantastic facilities in the room, difficult to choose between hot tub or spa bath, so alternated between the two. Batj may have edged it due to TV! Comfortable bed and sofa. Breakfast was ordered the evening before and brought to our room, and was delicious!"
