"The location was great, facing towards the city centre while the river is out the back. Breakfasts were delicious with various selections as were the dinners. We went to their cozy bar every evening before dinner. Mostly, I enjoyed the old world atmosphere, especially the lovely sitting room. The staff was very professional yet very friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable and sizable. Loved the place!"

"Disappointed with the "extra" costs, for parking because the Hotel was booked through Expedia..!! The Car Park was empty, and only a handful of guests staying. Disappointed because I wanted to move my Booking by a Day earlier, but the Hotel was not very accommodating even though they were plenty of room availability... Only because we didn't book Direct with the Hotel and went through Expedia.. Would it really have made a difference...? At least you had paying guests...!! Dissatisfied Customer..."

"Excellent stay overall. Our courtyard room was small but had everything we needed. The spa was a standout - loved the outdoor heated pool and sauna. Dinner at the bistro was excellent as was breakfast. It is expensive but worth it for a night or two getaway"

"Beautifully decorated large rooms, comfortable beds, good shower, great location and friendly helpful host added up to a wonderful stay in a gorgeous old priory building oozing with history. Breakfast was made fresh every morning and was delicious and varied with lots of fresh fruit, yoghurt, full Scottish or other options. Host Robin gave us a great welcome and walkthru but gave us plenty of space. We loved our stay and highly recommend his house."

"This accommodation is very well located in the Kelso town square and within easy walking distance to pubs, cafes and restaurants. The bakery to the left of the front door is outstanding for home cooked morning rolls and beautiful cakes. Apartment 1 is spacious, clean and has everything you need despite the furnishings being a bit dated. Note this accommodation may not be suitable for those with mobility issues due to the stairs to all rooms. This is a great base for trips to Lindisfarne,Bamburgh castle(Last Kingdom) and abbeys in Melrose, Jedburgh and Kelso itself. Cute shops in Kelso as well."
