"Room was fantastic, great shower, and a good night sleep"

"Fab place. I’ve stayed a few times and it’s always good quality. Staff went above and beyond this visit. Gym was excellent with good quality air con. My room was nice & comfy. I did 3 classes during my stay, all classes were of high quality. I had an evening meal & breakfast, again good quality. I sat out on the veranda overlooking the golf course. I also used the sauna during my visit which was one of the hottest I’ve been in! Top notch! Well done The Essex"

"Comfortable room and excellent supper in the restaurant. There were 2 of us with bikes and very kindly were allowed to store them overnight in the hotel. Excellent stopover if completing the Wolf Way bike trail. "

"It's too bad there isn't an air conditioner or a small cooler in the room. A small refrigerator could be added to have cold drinks."
