"We can recommend this hotel unreservedly. Staff went out of their way to help us with our problems and make us comfortable. We first had to change our reservation due to the train strike and Joey took care of that, next we wanted twin instead of double beds and Emily took care of that. Everytime we asked for help they were able to do something. The hotel is very conveniently located in the high street, clean and welcoming. Food in the bar is excellent."

"Couldn’t have wished for a better overnight stay. Conveniently placed just off the A12 the staff were welcoming; pool and spa very good as was the food both for dinner and generous breakfast. Gluten free provision was excellent too. Top marks all round. "

"Whilst I notice other reviewers mention refurbishment, there was not much disruption when I visited (early May 2024) Plus points - Check in was easy and very welcoming. Bedroom was spacious, modern, clean and facilities in room were good. There was a bath and shower over which was nice and although the bathroom definitely did need refurbishment (was dated and showing wear and tear) it was clean, which was the most important thing. The bed was comfortable and I slept well which I don't often do in a hotel! For me a huge plus was location (very easy when coming from the west country) and the EV chargers - these were a revelation as there were several and I was able to re-charge overnight so I will definitely book this hotel again, just for this convenience. Cons - just the fact that the restaurant seemed to be closed so no breakfast option. One other thing for the hotel to note, whilst it didn't impact me, there were petrol vehicles parked in two of the EV charging bays for the duration of my stay which could have been frustrating for other EV drivers. Otherwise a great stay and IMO better that other chain hotels at a similar price point."

"The room was in a nice quiet part of the hotel and although we didn’t use all of the facilities those on offer were exceptional. The breakfast was amazing and the staff very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were clean and well stocked with the usual tea and coffee and towels and shampoo and shower gel. "

"What a lovely hotel - couldn't fault it. Had never heard of the brand of hotel before, but all was good. Very quiet hotel so had a peaceful sleep. We eat there too and again, couldn't fault the food or staff - would definitely use this brand of hotel again"
