"Very nice quaint cottage everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bed very comfy. The only downside for me was the very steep narrow stairs but were manageable. The owner was very nice and helpful lovely breakfast basket left in the kitchen with bacon eggs tomatoes bread butter and milk. A fire made in the grate just needed lighting. I had a very pleasant stay would definitely stay there again."

"I've stayed here before multiple times. I would say this was the best stay I've had at the hotel. The breakfast was nice and hot and the quality of the ingredients seemed to be better. The room was spacious and the greeting at reception was professional and courteous. My only whinge is that I do hate paying for parking separately when I'm staying in a hotel. It should be part of the deal in my opinion. But this is a good place to stay on a business one-nighter."

"The room was very clean and the bed had lovely sheets. The shower was very good. However the main problem was there was no place to have breakfast, I was informed of this on my way to the hotel! As we came by train we could not go and find a place for breakfast. Staff told us there was a cafe where we could eat 2 minutes up the road, it was not a cafe but a service station that sold hot pies. Some Travelodges do breakfast to go boxes which would have been acceptable. In the room there was only one towel, two teabags and 2 coffee sachets and 2 milks. This was not adequate. For some reason there were also only 2 plugs which made it difficult, kept having to unplug something to plug in something else. At 11pm there was a group of very noisy guests shouting and fighting in the corridor and this lasted until nearly 1 o'clock. No attempt by staff was made to break this up, I think the police should have been called. We were staying during the heatwave and so l asked for a fan and was given a very effective brand new one. Value for money - very reasonable but would have preferred to pay more and had a better experience."
