There were also trays of leftover food left outside rooms for long periods of time. "It’s on HighStreet across from several bars and clubs, so it’s expected to be noisy. There are a lot of drug addicts and homeless people in the area which can be loud at night. The room and hotel itself is amazing - staff lovely and everywhere was cleaned regularly. What I miss the most is air condition. The rooms only come with a fan and when it’s 27 degrees outside, it’s impossible to cool down so sleeping at night is challenging. Other than that, I cannot fault anything. "

"Overall had a very comfortable stay. Room was looking a bit tired (standard room). Room doors could do with being “soft close” as they banged shut very loudly which woke me a few times later in the evening. Great setting though - I used the gym and ate in the bar. No tlc, just told us where are rooms were no information on where the spa was, that we had to book, breakfast times etc. We was the only guests at check in so not excuse she wasn't busy. So s.all on this stay that watching the football i had difficulty seeing who was who and were the ball was. Otherwise the staff are friendly the meal i had very good. "Stayed at Holiday Inn for the first time in many years on a trip with friends, and it was amazing. Holiday Inn remains frills-free, but with thoughtful and quality touches in it's premises that I am grateful for, and definitely raises the bar for other low mid-priced establishments. Well done to the strong management and team! All were brilliant from the front desk service (the younger ones and the more experienced) to the cleanliness, newness, furnishings, available iron ironing board, soaps, storage space, pantry, fan, coffee table... Thank you for giving us travellers the space to lodge neatly, without needing to stuff our belongings across floorings and beds :D breakfast and beverage options were sumptuous, and lovely assistants were on hand to replenish the buffet and clear dishes. The only thing I would suggest would be space/an additional towel rail for the second boarder. My husband hanged his on the small loo rail, while I left my damp one on the fan desk. All the hangers were used for our clothes. It wasn't major. Thanks for the thoughtful logistics and management. We're definitely revisiting when we're back. Wishing the team blessings and fairness in their work!"
