"Room had aircon which was a must during this heatwave of 33deg+. I like that there was a kitchen sink for filling up the kettle. Shan at reception was also very helpful and made our stay much better. After we checked out at 11 there was no real place to sit in the hotel (no breakfast room, bar or lobby) to take my meeting. Parking good"

"This hotel is well placed if you need access to central London. It is a very short walk to East Croydon station, which has direct and frequent train services to both London Bridge and Victoria where one can reach anywhere in the City. The hotel itself is modern and has excellent facilities and staff"

"Booked family room for 5 guests at a great price... can't grumble for what i paid, it was a place to rest for a night. The main bed was comfy, the other 2 beds were not so great but not awful. Clean bedding. Didn't have a remote for the TV but reception gave us one. Heating in the bathroom was on in scorching weather but reception sorted that too. The room had a bit of a funky smell and a bit of mould but nothing drastic Extremely annoying that I paid for breakfast for 5 people and got told they dont serve breakfast... when I asked for a refund I got told to go via hotels.com who I used to book and have been completely ignored by them. No refund for breakfast which I must partly blame the hotel for allowing it to be an option, despite not booking directly. Im sure they could have helped. Overall, its a place to rest, if its a good price its okay... if you want high end, this is not it. And dont pre pay for any food!!"

"Though the location is less convenient than the hotels in town center of Croydon, the connection with Bus is also fine with 5 to 10 mins walk. The Colonnades offer good choice of catering from fast food Macdonald to grilled chicken Nando. Breakfast is good with basic variety of eggs, beans, hashbrowns, sausages, fruit and flakes considering the relatively low room price."

"I stayed here for one night whilst working nearby. The hotel is in a lovely location and is very quiet, there is a large car park too so no parking issues if you arrive late. Check in was very pleasant, the building is wonderfully grand although it could do with upgrading to modern standards. My room (Kensington? 100 anyway) was a great size and actually had a proper desk for work and a kettle too. The bathroom was nice and modern and the bed large and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was decent and in a lovely setting with friendly service. Overall it was good value and I'd happily return."
