"Even though I am an Expedia Platnum member, the hotel did not provide an upgrade for our room, In fact, the Hotel put us all the way at the back on The furtherst building from everything, and in front of an area with lots of buildings being renovated under construction, There was construction demolition noise and construction trucks all day long form 8am to 6 pm To make things worse, they closed a lot of restaurants and facilities during the day and all we had of the main buffet to eat breakfast and dinner, which were a mile from our building, The food in the buffets is ordinary, nothing special even for Dinner Talking about dinner, we did the check-in 10 days before arriving on the App, but it would not allows us to hook the restaurants as they showed all full 10 days before we arrived, We could do some reservations for the not so good specialty restaurants but the best ones showed all full, But when we walked in front of these restaurants at dinner time, They were all half capacity, with lots os tables empty and they did not accept walk ins Not even the concierge could help us with anything, And the hotel was 50% full, at best, The beaches were full of sea grass and we could not even enter into the ocean The staff is drastically reduced and the service suffers I have been to Cancun over 30 times, I go twice a year, but I will not be coming back to this place and cannot recommend the Grand Bahia principe to no one,"
