5 days with 12 & 16 y.o. was a pleasure due to very good swimming facilities and friendly nature of staff. Close to airport but without intrusive noise of overhead planes. Enjoyed pre-booked tour to Medina and souks, Moroccan dinner and cultural live show and even long journey to Ouzid Waterfalls was worth it for the experience of the place.
Most of the hotel staff are nice. I pre-paid 4 nights through expedia.com but because of missed connection only stayed 3 nights. Upon check-in, the clerk immediately told me to contact expedia.com for a refund for the night that I didn't stay, which was to say that surprised me a lot. Location-wise, the hotel was quite a bit from the center of the town, but then again, all of the resort hotels next to this one are not that close to the center of the town.
This really was a great place to relax in tranquil authentic surroundings. Peaceful and luxurious and wonderful staff. If you are looking for somewhere to escape the pressures and bustle of Marrakech with staff you can trust then this is ideal. The traditional food was so much better than the eateries in town. Our executive suite was truly palatial, opening right into the garden and the pool.
We got a good deal on mystery hotels via Expedia, if not for which we would not have selected the hotel. Check in took a while - booking through Expedia was not immediately recognised immediately at the counter. Room was alright, not much character and the toilet had not been flushed! In so many years of travelling never seen a toilet that had not been flushed from previous use. Pool was nice and pretty, pity we did not have the time to dip in. Buffet was nice and extensive over all apart from the unflushed toilet - not too bad. No hotels or things to do in the vicinity, you will have to catch a taxi and head to the center.
We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. This hotel is really impressive with very friendly atmosphere and nice staff that added to the beauty of the hotel. There is a cinema and a big shopping centre about 5 min walk from the hotel. A lot of places to eat and a good hypermarket that is reasonably priced. Taxi to Mediana is 4 €. Will go back again.
In the southeast section of Marrakech, the Agdal region is a new tourism zone. The area's Agdal Gardens are set within the grounds of the Royal Palace. The gardens are open to the public twice a week, when the King of Morocco is not staying at the palace.
