"I had booked a weekend for my parents in one of the superior rooms in the main house. When they checked in they were informed of where to park outside the main house. As we drove round there were a variety of barriers preventing us from parking, we were then informed that we would not be allowed to park as there was a wedding happening the following day. We were informed to park a distance from the main house and my parents to walk further (disabled parking was unavailable). My father, who struggles to walk and is 82 was left expected to walk much further than he was cable of. The folllowing evening when I dropped them back at the hotel only to find out that they were directly over the wedding evening, and could not sleep because of the noise. They were moved rooms but this added to a later than they were usual too late night. At no point were we informed that there was a wedding event, They were due to leave the following day at 0630 to travel back to Ellesmere Port to miss traffic. My father after this ordeal slept the rest of the afternoon (which is unlike him). I feel the whole experience has been completely ruined and the communication and sympathy and understanding very lacking. At this stage, I would not recommend. We expect a call to discuss from the venue and hope their reaction will amend our extreme disappointment."

"The hotel is excellent other than the restaurant. We stay here regularly on the way to Devon. We tried the restaurant on the way and it wasn't good. Tried again on the way back with 10%discount and had to send the meal back. Next time we stay in July we will dine at the premier inn/beafeater 10mins away Otherwise all was good"

"Here’s a more natural and polished version of your review: My stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham was fantastic. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. I particularly appreciated having an iron and ironing board in the room, as this is not something I often find in other hotels. The complimentary bottles of water were a nice touch, and the tea and coffee-making facilities were excellent. The hotel offered a great selection of coffee and high-quality tea, which I really enjoyed. Although I experienced a minor issue with the bathroom, it was resolved within five minutes, which reflects the hotel’s excellent customer service and attention to guests’ needs. The hotel is a wonderful place to relax while also serving as an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds and the surrounding areas. Its location is excellent, and the free parking makes it easy to travel around and visit nearby attractions. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and outstanding service."

"The hotel is centrally located and convenient. The furnishings are of high quality and the garden is delightful. The staff are very pleasant. However, we suffered from a lot of noise from fellow guests walking around and going up and down the stairs at all hours, the hanging space was pitiful (space for four hangers and too low for my dresses), our tissue box had about four tissues in it, and there was insufficient room for our things due to all the “amenities” crammed into our tiny room (ironing board, suitcase stand, flannels, a fan, bathrobes) The bar is also super expensive - I ordered two large glasses of Malbec and a small bowl of nuts and the bill was £45! The car park is a faff as you have to pay £15 per day by joining the hotel wifi, scanning a QR code, going to a website and entering your details. Many of the customers were older and struggled with this at check in."
