"Countryside enfolded the TJS and as soon as we walked in we were made to feel welcomed. Our room was clean and fresh. Everything you needed had been thought of, big walk-in shower. fluffy robes, small fridge with water and milk for your tea. We only had breakfast but was freshly cooked and lasted us all day. We loved our stay and would definitely go back. TJS gets our thumbs up. "

"Friendly run pub offered great service when we arrived late friday evening. Explained we wouldnt need breakfast the saturday morning as we were leaving early to particiapte in the south downs challenge. Suggested a breakfast tray they would leave outside our room. They did and included fruit, cereal and yogurts. Stayed in the Firle room. 4 poster bed very clean and bed was really comfy. Drinks in the bar reasonable priced and lovely welcome. "Great property in an ideal location to explore Brighton, we struggled to park the car but eventually found one, room very nice, beds comfortable.check in was easy and hassle free, tv signal not great but I suppose you don’t come away to watch tv; defo come back here again"

"Such a beautiful place to stay, with friendly, helpful staff. Being on the 4th floor with winding stairs and no lift was a challenge but burnt off a few calories! "

"Great location, especially it you travel by train, exit from the side of the station and a somewhat smelly :-( municipal lift (not within control of the hotel) will take you almost to the front entrance and reception. The Lanes (great shops and cafes) and the seafront are a short walk away. Wonderful reception staff, a good buffet breakfast, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean apartment. "Very happy with the hotel downstairs. The bar and restaurant was great! Lovely breakfast and dinner. Not so happy with our seaview double. Looked very tired and old fashioned. The mattress on the bed was quite thin and uncomfortable. This was mentioned to reception. The bathroom was also tired and needed updating. The WI-FI was very bad! Great location for everything. "
