"Lovely Hotel - Accross the canal from St. Marks sq"
Lovely hotel - Very friendly helpful staff.
Hotel was very nice - Breakfast & Cocktails on the canal front every day
Bed was really comfortable and conveniently located - St Marks Sq 1 stop on the vaperetto or roughly a 10 min walk across the Accadmia bridge, which is worth doing atleast once as fantastic view from bridge in both directions

We LOVE the Ca' Maria Adele Hotel. My wife and I had just completed a 12-day Mediterranean cruise and decided to spend one additional day in Venice. We arrived at the hotel at about 10:30 am, planning to leave our luggage and return later to check in. The hotel apologized because it would be approximately 30 minutes before our room was ready. We were escorted to a small beautifully decorated sitting room where we were served champagne, and Cappuccino with a lite snack. Within 30 minutes we were escorted to our room, a spacious beautifully decorated suite. It is hard to believe that we could have chosen a better place to stay in Venice; the staff was warm, friendly and extremely helpful. The amenities of the room and hotel included specialty ordered breakfast and a well stocked mini-bar. Our stay at the hotel also included a private water taxi to transport us to the Island of Murano for a private tour of the Murano Glass Factory. The location of the hotel was perfect (facing the Basilica Ca' Maria Adele (by the Salute vaporetto stop)) enough out of the tourist path to be peaceful, yet close enough to access all of Venice quickly. St Marks Square was directly across the canal from us, a 5-minute waterbus ride. My only regret is that we did not arrange to stay longer. We will return on our next trip to Venice.
This hotel was perfectly located (next to vaporetto stop) on the canal, away from the busy tourist-center - near the museums/galleries. Very friendly service, comfortable and spacious accommodations - loved the bathroom fixtures (although water pressure was not great). Great breakfast. It was in a beautiful old castle-like building, without feeling stuffy or dated. I would definitely stay there again if I came back to Venice.
"Nice and quirky hotel in a really good location "
We used this hotel for a 1 night stay in Venice before travelling to Rovinj by ferry. The ferry port is just around the corner and the hotel's location is perfect because it's in walking distance to all the touristy bits without feeling overrun itself. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the interior of the hotel is modern with a quirky touch. We only stayed in the hotel for a night but on our way back from Rovinj we had another day in Venice and the hotel staff were so kind to store our luggage even though we weren't staying for the night, exceptional service!
"Well placed hotel about 20 min walk from St Marks "
Lovely clean and welcoming hotel. Conveniently placed minutes from a water bus stop which takes you to St Mark's Square. Hotel breakfast was plentiful and fresh (continental style).
Room facilities were good and standards of hygiene were excellent.
For a very reasonable price, we received (possibly as an upgrade due to our midweek stay) a corner room overlooking a smaller canal. The shower was a box shower but almost twice the size of others we've encountered this trip with good water pressure. The wifi worked well for us and the ac was powerful (for which we were infinitely grateful). The hotel was in a quiet area far enough away to let us escape the tourist hordes but close enough to the main attractions when we wanted to see them. The breakfast was substantial. The staff was friendly and multilingual. They recommended great, reasonable, and less touristy restaurants in the neighborhood. We were sad to leave and look forward to staying here again, hopefully soon but in the off season.
Dorsoduro is home to the great art institutions of the Gallerie dell'Accademia and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and the landmark church of Santa Maria della Salute. However those who take the time to explore the area, and particularly the eastern section, will find some of Venice’s most picturesque squares and alleys. The area also benefits from the influence of the university with some lively bars and nightlife (rare in Venice).
