Good priced hotel.Good value hotel. The staff are very polite and helpful. There is some redecorating going on so I won't comment on decor. The room was very pleasant but the bed lumpy!! The net curtains could do with a wash. Overall a nice stay and will stay again if in the area.

Pocket Guide: 3 stars Hotels in Wiltshire

Situated in the south-west of England, Wiltshire enjoys some of the country's warmest weather. The climate, coupled with the vast stretches of sublime countryside and wealth of historical attractions, makes Wiltshire one of the United Kingdom's premier holiday destinations. With so many tourists flocking to the county each year, the range of hotels in Wiltshire is both broad and eclectic. Those looking for a perfect balance of value and comfort can choose from a huge variety of three star hotels.

The Best of Both Worlds

Three star hotels in Wiltshire offer an attractive combination of astonishing value and first-rate facilities. The Widbrook Grange Hotel is a prime example of how much is on offer. The Bradford-upon-Avon hotel is houses in an elegant Georgian country house, within some 11 acres of picturesque grounds. The highlight is the hotel's glorious indoor heated swimming pool.

The Holiday Inn Swindon also boasts an indoor pool, this time within a more modern setting. The hotel is located in Coate, just outside of Swindon. The site provides easy access to the popular Coate Water County Park.

Family Hotels

Wiltshire is a popular destination with more adventurous families, combining open countryside with exciting family-friendly attractions. As you'd expect, this means that there are plenty of excellent hotels in the country that welcome kids.

The Bear Hotel in Devizes is a family-friendly hotel set in the town centre. The central location make it ideal for those keen to head to the town's shops and enjoy the many bars and restaurants on offer.

Families seeking some freedom can consider The Studio, a self-catering apartment set in the rural village of Steeple Ashton. Not only are kids welcomed, but the owners also offer babysitting and childcare services too, meaning mum and dad can take some well-deserved time off to relax alone!

Pet-Friendly Hotels

When the whole family are heading away on holiday, it doesn't seem fair to leave your pet behind. Fortunately, there's a whole host of hotels in Wiltshire who are happy to let you bring your pet along for the ride.

The Prince Leopold Inn is a three star hotel that welcomes pets. Located in Warminster, there's plenty of opportunity to get out into the countryside and enjoy a long walk with Fido at your heels.

Historic Salisbury

The main attraction of Wiltshire may be its beautiful countryside, but there are also some stunning towns to keep visitors entertained. The most popular is the county's only city of Salisbury.

Salisbury is a city that immediately charms its visitors. The medieval city has cobbled streets lined with period buildings, as well as plenty of exciting attractions on offer. Surely the best known attraction in the Salisbury area is Stonehenge, which lies just eight miles outside the city centre. The mysterious site is great for getting the kids' imaginations in gear as so little is known about how it got there, or even what it means!

Salisbury's packed with exquisite three star hotels and guesthouses. Milford Hall Classic Hotel is a gorgeous building located in the north of town. On the other side of Salisbury, Grasmere House is yet another family-friendly option, offering easy access to the city centre.
