Shower lukewarm. Manager's explanation simply that everyone was using their shower at the same time. I don't expect to pay £93 for room only and not even be able to wash my hair as too cold. Is that unreasonable of me??Shame as lovely location and otherwise very nice.
We have stayed at the Angel in Chippenham many times over the last five years and really enjoy it. We go back as it has become a "tradition" part of our anniversary celebrations. The Hotel is a lovely little oasis in a bustling little town and we enjoy staying there.
This hotel is clean and pleasant but could do with a period of maintenance (after a long season?). The breakfast was expensive at £9.50 and dinner also rather over priced although both good meals.
It's a reasonably nice place and we would go back forearmed , the first issue was the parking although it has customer parking the car park was full and nowhere set aside for guests, we were directed to a pay and display car park behind another hotel. The second issue was the very loud sports channel ...
Good value hotel. The staff are very polite and helpful. There is some redecorating going on so I won't comment on decor. The room was very pleasant but the bed lumpy!! The net curtains could do with a wash. Overall a nice stay and will stay again if in the area.
If you like this kind of thing, it's wonderful. The building is 700 yrs old. Our room was the very last in the back, somehow he knew we would want quiet. Manager tells us, it's up 2 flights of stairs, then through a door, then down a few steps, then through another door, the hall gets narrower and ...

The main attraction of Wiltshire may be its beautiful countryside, but there are also some stunning towns to keep visitors entertained. The most popular is the county's only city of Salisbury.
Salisbury is a city that immediately charms its visitors. The medieval city has cobbled streets lined with period buildings, as well as plenty of exciting attractions on offer. Surely the best known attraction in the Salisbury area is Stonehenge, which lies just eight miles outside the city centre. The mysterious site is great for getting the kids' imaginations in gear as so little is known about how it got there, or even what it means!
Salisbury's packed with exquisite three star hotels and guesthouses. Milford Hall Classic Hotel is a gorgeous building located in the north of town. On the other side of Salisbury, Grasmere House is yet another family-friendly option, offering easy access to the city centre.
