The rooms were clean and while there’s not a ton of space, which we’ve found is common with European hotel rooms, we found it quite enough space for our needs. The price was excellent considering the area and the staff was very polite and welcoming. 5 stars! "

"Excellent hotel overlooking the Blackheath green space outside of Canary Wharf. The breakfast is fantastic, and the staff in the breakfast and bar are unusually friendly for London, lol. Great place. A rare treat to have a small village like atmosphere. Parking is an issue and very expensive if you do happen to be driving. The hotel has free spaces for guests, but it is potluck getting one. Blackheath station is on the Southeastern so good access to London Bridge etc. "

I booked a single, and the bed was much larger than a single (great!) but not quite as big as double. The room said it had a desk in it, but there isn't (just a note if anyone is expecting one to work on). You’re right by the national history museum, and I could easily jump on the underground and get to all the sights really quickly. I had the single (twin bed) room. It was small, but functional. Housekeeping did a great job of refreshing my room and the front desk man was great. The lift was out of service during my entire visit, so that was a bit annoying having to walk up and down from the top floor, but...
