Having never stayed here before, we were looking forward to seeing the nice family hotel we had booked online, and we certainly had an experience! The facilities are unquestionable with great sized rooms, gym/pool/spa area first class and a great restaurant and bar area with wxcellent food. What we werent to know was that on the second night a serious incident occurred causing police to be called to sort out a domestic that had got out of hand. it went on for many hours and totally disrupted our young children and then the next day. What was bizarre was the building work starting to repair the damaged room at such an early time (7:30am when the incident was 0200-0400). it was as if no thought to the people on the adjacent rooms and floors had been considered. In fairness, the staff tried to explain this was a unique incident never seen before and they were trying their best to pacify everyone over the weekend. What is interesting, in my view, is knowing what market the hotel is trying to attract..families, golfers or couples? I am sure this couple will never Be seen again, in fact considering the room was totally destroyed I hope he is going to have the book thrown at him in a heavy way. We would to back but with caution as noise pollution is vital for a very young family, and so I hope the hotel can work hard to address this going forward.
The facilities were very good,
Food was good but just the usual buffet style that you get anywhere.
Enjoyed swimming and sauna, as well as booking a very enjoyable facial.
Bad points- the mattress and. Pillows were ancient a nd not very comfortable.
The staff we lovely and we're always around if u need anything, rooms were nice and clean a bit small but okay for 2 people bed was really comfy. It's about a 10 min walk away for all the clubs but was only 4 pound in a taxi to the main clubs
This was a night away as part of birthday celebrations. The courtesy call and email communication from Brecks staff was really good. We were on a late check in and they talked me through the checking in process as there would be no staff working at the time. When we got there we got a little lost due to the 1 way systems in place. When we actually got to the hotel, we couldn't figure out where the car park was nor where our apartment was (we were in apartment 9 which is located round the back, all other apartments are on the front of house and clearly marked). If you are coming by car be aware that parking is very limited, we ended up parking on the street. We did this after I rang the emergency number to help me locate our apartment, the man on the phone advised us to do this and it seemed pretty safe (and parking for the evening was free...it was a Sunday)
Home of the iconic Blackpool Tower, Blackpool Rock, Pleasure Beach, the Illuminations, Kiss-me-quick hats, and donkey rides, Blackpool has been a popular holiday destination since the mid-nineteenth century. With its long sandy beach, rollercoasters, and fish and chip shops, it is still very well visited. Known as the gay capital of the North, it is also extremely popular with the LGBT community.
