"We had a really good stay. The cottage is beautiful and equipped with absolutely everything you could ever need. Our son really enjoyed the garden, in particular the Wendy House which was also kitted out with toys, which was a lovely bonus.
The village is peaceful but perfect for a nice walk.
We would thoroughly recommend the property and would stay again. "
"Property was lovely, communication excellent. It would just take a couple of things for a 5 star ie two big towels as two people staying, additional toilet roll, kitchen to have more utensils. The listing really should mention the tv is almost impossible as the wifi signal is bad and maybe have some games or puzzles available as we were not aware the tv would just buffer constantly.. Also instructions on central heating, oven etc as they were new to us and took a bit of figuring. It was just...
"It was finished to an extremely high standard, it has all the amenities needed and it was impeccably clean. It’s in a beautiful location. The owner is incredibly helpful and very responsive. If I could give 6 stars, I would!"
"This tiny cottage oozed charm and calm. A perfect hideaway in which to reenergise. A very well thought out property Very quiet, but buses nearby if you wish to discover the area."
"Beautiful property, clean, tidy excellent location in a quiet small village. Plenty of room for our family of 5 and everything you need. Would definitely book again"
"Loved staying here and would stay again! Spotless inside and out, it felt very homely and cosy. Loved the hot tub! The host was very kind, available via text and eager to help if needed. Highly recommend a restful break here. "

We had a wonderful 7-night stay in this apartment. It was much bigger than expected, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the shower was excellent with a large cubicle, and the kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery, dishes and cutlery.
Our only disappointment was that there were just two mugs. We requested more, but unfortunately they never arrived.

Gorgeous looking hotel. Already lovely but excited to see it when their plans to gain a 4th star come to fruition.
My only qualms are rather thin walls to the next bathroom (you can hear the next rooms shower power unit) and the ventilation (weather was low 20s but room got full sun and with no air con it was very hot, even with windows fully open).
Otherwise, tasteful decor, a really nice restaurant with super food and a beautiful location.

Lovely inside, lovely host and great breakfast. Didnt like so many lights on outside the room and cushions on the bed as they are not able to be washed at 60 degrees and generally just a waste of space.

Stayed with my husband for our Wedding Anniversary and it was amazing. The Hotel knew this and left us a lovely note and some chocolates in our room for when we arrived, what a lovely surprise. We went to the Spa for a swim and sauna, we almost fell asleep on the beds we were so relaxed.

If you're after a comfortable stay in a clean hotel close to York town centre, this could be for you. We stopped overnight and had a very pleasant stay, in clean accomodation. The only slight disappointment was breakfast wasn't available. No big deal though and probably a result of Omicron.
