"Helpful staff and central location"

"Clean, but slightly older, room. Odd toilet layout. However was spacious. Nice bed. Good desk for working. Comfortable stay."

"Third stay at this hotel, always a nice standard. The room we had this time had a couple of signs of age, the bathroom door has swollen due to water splash from the shower. The shower head with hose had perished, making the hose shoot off from the attachment. Someone had stayed in the room wearing a lot of foundation, which was smudged up a wall and over the soap dispenser and mirror. My friend had a duvet that had a hole in the top left corner which had a fair amount of foundation on too. But besides that, the room was tidy, clean and perfect for our stay. Staff were friendly and polite. Thank you."

"We love the hotel. Staff were really friendly. Great location for the ICC and the Arena. Easy parking and everything is well looked after. Only thing we found was we were expecting there to be a fridge but there wasn’t and there was no toilet brush in the bathroom. Other than that we had a great stay and would stay again"

"I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham for one night and found it to be a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is excellent. It is right in the centre, very easy to access, and ideal for getting around Birmingham. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, and the overall service felt professional. The room itself was large and spacious, with a comfortable bed, a good television setup, and a sizeable bathroom. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a good selection and quality that matched expectations for a hotel of this standard. However, the building itself does feel somewhat dated. The main issue for me was the air conditioning. The windows do not open, so you are entirely reliant on the system, which, while effective at cooling, was quite noisy. It cycled on and off throughout the night, meaning it was either running loudly or switching back on just as the room temperature changed, which repeatedly disturbed my sleep. It does not feel like a particularly modern or well-calibrated system, and it impacted what should have been a restful night. Overall, while the hotel has many of the qualities you would expect from a four-star property, I would say it delivers more when you are awake than when you are trying to sleep. For the price, there are likely more modern alternatives in similarly central locations that offer a more consistent and comfortable night’s stay."

"First time staying at the Cube Hotel, and the location is fabulous. The room was spacious and bright, with a great view from the 24th floor. The room was well-appointed, with everything you'd need (safe, ironing board, mini fridge, bottled water and cookies). The air conditioning didn't seem to work, and there was a column heater in the room to compensate. The standard of the bedding didn't match the rest of the room, which was disappointing - a saggy mattress and nothing but overstuffed firm pillows. It was OK, but I had expected better. Several issues in the bathroom, which I reported to reception on check out - a constant drip from the shower, a leak under the basin, and the drain in the shower was almost fully blocked, which meant I had to turn the shower on and off to make sure it didn't flood the bathroom. The restaurant on the 25th floor (Marco Pierre White) was fabulous, and the cooked-to-order breakfast was a standout. Despite a few niggles, I would definitely stay again."
