"Really enjoyed our time at the Little Cow House. Starting with the very warm welcome from our lovely hosts and delicious welcoming homemade cake. The house is very nicely furnished, immaculately clean and very well equipped, and is warm and cosy; you can hear the river rushing in the valley below and the rooms have lovely views of trees and fields. Would like to come back and visit again in the summer to really make the mot of the great walks and sights in the area."

"Very good all round hotel, good facilities and staff as well. Cooked breakfast was pretty poor but had a simple range of other items that filled a hole."

"Nice hotel enjoyed our stay,staff very friendly and helpful especially Mark the server in the bar,nothing to much trouble.Food was nice and reasonably priced compared to other similar hotels.Room was basic but clean and had everything we needed for our stay.Enjoyed a dip in the pool on the evening.Also well located for transport links."

"Room was clean, we where in room 17, the room could do with some sound proofing around the front door and secondary double glazing inside of the front window, very noisy late at night with music and people at the pub on next door. The breakfast was a little expensive at over £16 per person however the portions size was extremely generous for the money and for those that like thier real ales the pub has its own micro brewery on site. I would recommend this hotel."

"Ideally located for the city centre, the Abode stands proud between the race course and the centre with a fifth floor bar and restaurant offering fantastic views. Our room was comfortable with a large shower room. Overnight parking on site was expensive compared to the large public car park just a 3 minute walk away. I didn’t enjoy the continental breakfast, staff served the toast and it wasn’t toasted - also no choice in bread. It was cheap, but I would have preferred to pay more and have a bit more choice."

"What a Gem of a Hotel, from the very first moment that we walked up to the reception to check in the staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The room was much better than we expected and not only did the bathroom have a walk in shower but it also had a bath (very big), the bed was large and very comfortable and everything worked just as it should, we tried the breakfast that was superb and plentiful. We had our evening meals in the hotel each evening as the menus and the food was vary good. We travel quite often within the Uk, and we have to say this is the best hotel that we have stayed in during the last ten years. It has a lot of character and if you are in the Chester area and need a good hotel at a very reasonable price then look no further. 10/10 all round."
