"Beautiful Victorian building building close to Chester station, literally 1 minute walk from station entry/exit. Easy walk along the canal into the historic city centre. Staff helpful and friendly."

"Very welcoming on arrival, quick check in and straight up to the room. Room is comfortable and has everything you need. Bar area downstairs felt nice and relaxing. Good choice of hot and cold breakfast items, tea, coffee, juice and smoothies on offer. Would book here again."

"Second time staying here. Staff friendly as always. Not a great selection in the restaurant., but the carbonara was delicious. Great value for money and will stay again."

"All in all a lovely hotel with clean room, although no phone to reach out to reception. Staff very helpful and informative. Spa good but having to pay £10 as a resident was a bit of a liberty. Biggest disappointments were the main restaurant being closed off and instead we had to use the inferior small bar area to which all tables had been reserved and the main menu which didn’t have much of a choice with a high price ! Overall though I would stay again but maybe eat out within the town of Llangollen"

"My friend and I were in a twin room, clean and tidy. Hotel itself needs updating in places - carpets in corridors, paint work - nothing major Staff very accommodating, friendly and helpful Breakfast good value Facilities great - pool, Jacuzzi and sauna used - not gym Stayed for short breaks at this hotel a few times over the last few years Will certainly be using here again"

"We had a very nice stay. Everything I would expect from Doubletree Hilton. Very clean and tidy, the staff were extremely helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast team were smiley, chatty and happy to help. Thank you to all and we would stay again."
