From the moment we saw this hotel on arrival we fell in love with it. Everything about it was so lovely it looked so ancient and inviting ..from the friendly staff who checked us in and took our luggage to our room to the peaceful ambiance of this converted convent which had its own little church attached ! The roof top terrace allowed views across the city and the external garden enabled a peaceful glass or wine served by the attentive waiters on returning to the hotel after a long day of sight seeing ! The breakfasts were excellent and regularly replenished with a fantastic selection of hot and cold items. Situated in the beautiful bohemian area of Trastevere this Hotel was well placed for Restaurants and Antica Pesa was truly a hidden gem just a short stroll from the hotel as was Paris which was a little further away but very walkable both offering truly wonderful food. We would definitely consider returning to this lovely hotel when next in Rome it is not often you find a hotel that offers both roof terrace and outside gardens complete with such friendly staff.
If you like great, friendly service in a quiet but close-to-everything location, this is the place for you. Front desk staff arranged shuttle to the airport and taxis (when we were too tired to walk), and offered a take away breakfast for us as we had an early flight the day we checked out. Rooms are spotless and reflect that simple, old world style we longed for in Rome. Breakfast room charming--food is homemade and lovely.

After a long trip to get to Italy, we felt very welcomed when we arrived. Friendly staff was very helpful will all our requests, very clean room with comfortable bed. Wonderful choices at the continental breakfast.
My partner and I chose Borgo Papareschi for a week in Rome and it was great.
Upon arrival the young guy was very helpful. Giving us a map and showing us all of the bus routes and stops.
When we got to our apartment we were super happy. Clean, spacious and had everything we could need.
The location was also great. About 20 minuets bus ride from central Rome which was perfect for us away from the hustle and bustle. There were many great shops and restaurants just down the road (highly recommend Retro we went here 3 nights out of our 7).
We cannot wait to visit Rome next year and will definitely choose this place again!
Thank Borgo Papareschi!
The hotel is in a very good location. Walking distance to the major sites. This is a basic hotel for a fair price. Breakfast is very simple. Most will be provided in your room (we had our own fridge filled with water, yogurt, etc) and you can also use the common area to make food/drinks. No credit card machine so bring cash for payment.
Our room was clean and good for two people. If you are particular with noise then this won't be a good fit for you. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything.

trastevere area has a nice character and is very welcoming compared to staying in other parts of rome that may feel more busy and touristy. hotel staff and facilities are great for the price you pay. rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels and sheets etc. rooms with air con. geat location for transport links in a very friendly district of rome. walking distance of 5 minutes to trastevere station that links you to st. peters and airport stations etc. tram and bus stops just outside. great cafes and local restaurants. overall a great base to explore rome from.
Across the River Tiber, Trastevere is a well-established 'boho chic' quarter, full of local character. The patchwork of tiny, cobbled streets houses many bars, good restaurants and buzzing nightlife spots. There is also a treasure trove of medieval churches. In its own piazza, the beautiful Santa Maria in Trastevere has shimmering golden mosaics and was probably Rome's first Christian basilica, founded in 222 AD.
