"Interesting place. Advertised as a guest house on some sites and Bed and Breakfast on others. Unfortunately when we arrived were told breakfast was not included - that seemed strange I booked the room on the pretence it served breakfast - being a "Guest House". I paid top price for this site when compared with other B & B's. Although they did end up supplying cereal for breakfast. But that is not good enough for the price. Also daily service was minimalist. "Amazing location, tucked in amongst more expensive hotels, and medieval St Olave's church right next door for a full-on dose of London history. Initially there was a problem with having been given a room with faulty air conditioning on a hot day; customer service initially indifferent and I lost valuable rest in a boiling room. However, the excellent and swift intervention by Michael ensured a room change with excellent temperature control. Good little gym in the basement which I had to myself with Belu water and fresh fruit available."

"Loved our 4 night stay! Location is perfect and the food trucks and bar at the base of the bridge was a perfect way to unwind after a big day. Close to a Tesco and Tower Hill station, and we felt safe walking the area at all times. Rooms were big and comfortable, some of the doors and cupboards etc need a freshen up but I believe they are doing that now. Will definitely stay again!!!"

"I had a double bed room with a large balcony overlooking the Rotherhithe pier and across the Thames, Canary Wharf pier. It was a really nice touch having the balcony as the hotel was/is currently facing issues with their ac system not working around the hotel so I could leave my balcony door open for cool air as I slept. I did not have breakfast so I cannot speak on that. My room had bits of dirt here and there but nothing too crazy to complain to the staff about. Staff are friendly and helpful. Due to the convenience of staying right across from Canary Wharf (and it being a 2/3 minute boat ride away (free for guests staying at the A&O), I would definitely recommend staying here as I am already planning my next trip back."
