"Stonehouse Court is a beautiful local stone 16/17 century house with a modern brick-built multi bedroom extension. It is located within walking distance of the town of Stonehouse which has a plethora of eating and drinking establishments across the price range, and a main line railway station between Cheltenham and London. The older, mainly wood-panelled part of the House is given over to the Reception and Bar and has a massive carved stone fireplace surround, providing a quiet whilst intriguing place to sit, chat and enjoy a drink. The bedrooms are mid sized, ours having a garden view and a King Sized bed. The bathroom was smaller than ideal. Like almost all hotel bathrooms in my experience it had missing essentials - a rail over the radiator to dry towels and a shelf in the shower to accommodate gel and shampoo to name just two. However all in all a sensibly priced hotel with helpful staff and a warm “Olde World” feel to it. Would stay there again."
