    Location difficult to get to although I believe this was due to the road closure, otherwise area is very picturesque, it was very peaceful but I'm sure in summer it could be rather busy. The cottage looked pretty from the outside but drab and dark inside. There was no sugar milk or coffee but 2 tea bags, every place I have stayed provided these, and especially as there are no shops close by and the location is in the middle of nowhere, very disappointing. The kettle was old and grubby, the cooker also. The fridge seal was dirty. There were no tea towels, but an amazing pile of cotton table cloths! There is a dishwasher which is new but no dishwasher tablets so we bought some the next time we went out to buy milk etc. The bedrooms were good apart from the situation of where the dressing table was which was in a dark corner, the beds were very comfortable and cosy . The bathroom was dated and the plug hole in the bath and sink was dirty and I found a public hair in the bath and the toilet seat. The shaving mirror light above the sink did not work. The lighting generally in the building was quite dark and oppressive, trying to put on makeup was useless. We only stayed three nights, I wanted to leave after two, I certainly would hate to be there for any longer, really horrible break.…

    Our room was attractive and comfortable and first class for cleanliness. There was even decaf coffee as one of the refreshment choices in our room which in our experience does not often happen! Breakfast was excellent too and we will definitely be back when we visit Hereford next.…

    Beautiful hotel and room in a picturesque location. There is a luxurious restaurant on site, with a nice breakfast also provided. The bar is slightly high priced but worth it for the views. The only downside is the hotel kind of out the way from the centre of Gloucester, with little to do around the area.…
