Felt like we were staying in a family home despite the size of the place. Staff were very welcoming with brilliant service at breakfast. Parking can be tight if you’re in a large car but not a problem for us. The room we had was excellent. A corner room with double aspect and fantastic views over looking the countryside.

We had a standard room with river view. The room was very comfortable with everything we required. It was quiet hotel and a good location for the town. We booked bed and breakfast and the choice and quality were excellent. Great serviceand friendly breakfast wait staff. Highly recommend a stay here.

I really enjoyed the space of the family room. It proved enough living space and privacy space for our family. I also enjoyed the location in town and being able to walk to wherever I needed in Ross. The building is keeping the traditional/historic inn feel. Felt like our stay was part of our overall trip experience.

The surroundings around this hotel are beautiful, the views from our window stretched right across the river & fields. We booked in to have dinner & everything was superb, they catered for a very fussy eater too which was great. Our waitress couldn't do enough for us. The bed was immaculately clean & very comfy, we both slept really well.

I was really impressed with the Royal. Every member of staff was cheerful friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant exceeded my expectations and the whole atmosphere of the place was calm and well managed.. Would definitely recommend!

Just a great place to eat drink and sleep credit to all at royal staff so good from booking in bar staff and the wonderful lady at breakfast. I travel the uk on bussiness and this is one of the best places to stay breakfast is the best i have had for a while Well done keep it up

Lovely food on site. Amazing views ,ideally.place for river walk or shops. Feels like a lovely step back in time - Still have keys for the doors. Quaint but with all the facilities needed for a very relaxing break.
