"Had a very surprising experience, paid £65 for 1 single room and didn’t expect much due to the price, just something cheap and cheerful, maybe a bit dated. Room massively surpassed expectations - view of lake Windermere, minimal white/grey design, really clean, and to top it off, an amazing power shower that went ARCTIC COLD (for those who do cold showers, this one’s for you). Had the best stay! Also, it’s right next to the entrance for the walk up to Orrest head for a full panoramic view of Windermere. Perfection. "

"The hotel overall was very good from check in to check out. Our room was spacious, decor was in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Large bathroom with very nice powerful shower. The location was perfect for the lake and other amenities in Bowness just being a few minutes walk away. Breakfast was nice good choice and excellent service. Would definitely recommend. "

"A lovely couple of nights, and we now hope to return in the future for a longer stay. All the staff, in reception and bar / restaurant were very friendly and professional. Food was delicious. The area at the lakeside is stunning where you can watch both wildlife and water sports. The studio lodge was very comfortable and well appointed with sitting area and small kitchen. A bus stop is at the entrance to the site with regular buses between Lancaster and Kendal and I believe onto Windamere "

"I lovely few days at the hotel, we had a hot tub room which was very nice. Staff are all really helpful and friendly."

"Upon arrival to check in staff were friendly and attentive and offred to help with any bags we had etc. The room allocated to us was on the top floor more of an attic type room. Room size was ok for a double and it was clean and tidy as was the en suite shower/toilet. Location was good and it was only about a 10 min walk down to the town centre and lake itself. Good breakfast included in the stay. Overall a great choice for our stay."

"Very comfortable hotel with lovely gardens, and good breakfast. Staff were friendly, parking plentiful, and walkable to Lake Windermere and the shops/restaurants in Bowness on Windermere. Enjoyed the birds inhabiting the gardens - get a window table for breakfast to enjoy the birds while you eat."
