"Beautiful hotel …the historical and architectural details were fabulous and the room was very comfortable. However, they advertise a restaurant which does not exist unless you book ahead. Very disappointing!"

"Lovely, welcoming staff. Very easy to check in at the pub next to the accommodation. Very good location and easy to find. Free parking which is a bonus these days! Stayed for 3 nights in a family room, clean but a little dated. Beds could be more comfortable. Breakfast was nice and has a lovely kids play area. Overall a pleasant stay."

"Breakfast was good. Accommodating for food intolerances. Bathroom was not as clean as expected when we arrived and the shower constantly dripped. We stayed for 2 nights but got a note under the door that due to unforeseen circumstances they were unable to clean our room after our first night despite seeing two ladies cleaning near to our room. No one manning the bar so helpful reception lady made us some coffees. Pool was a nightmare but it was half term!"

"Peaceful location despite proximity to motorway. Family friendly. Great staff and good communication before we arrived. Rooms a little dated and in need of minor repairs such as cupboard hinges.
