If you're looking for a beautiful adults only hotel, try Casa Susana. It's an absolutely beautiful hotel with gorgeous rooms and an amazing rooftop pool. The lobby and central staircase create a tropical escape like I've never seen. We would gladly live there full time!
We loved the Posada! It was our first trip to PV and decided to go the more "beaten path" direction and this fit the bill perfectly! We only stayed for 2 days and don't know if I would stay for a longer period but this worked out perfect for us!
Quiet little charming hotel in the middle of busy Romantica Zone....truly gives you a taste of real Mexico. Beautiful little courtyard, nice clean rooms (small but adequate for 2 people), and wonderful air conditioning! Definitely a bare bones place but who needs bells and whistles?? Very quiet, helpful staff as well.
This is located so close to everything....the pier, shopping, and the beach. The Malecon and "tourist" places are only short walk few blocks away.
Oh, and Freddy Toucans restaurant adjacent to the hotel was wonderful...great food and staff! And if you are daring....try the bakery across the street!!! Wonderful!
If we ever get back to PV...Posada would be where we would go back to.
I have been to Puerto Vallarta five or six times and have stayed at a different hotel or resort each time. I can be picky but I have enjoyed them all. Since I was coming alone this time I chose to be centrally located in the Zona Romantica. I consulted read about many places after settling on Casa Fantasia.
The price to value ratio could not be higher in my opinion. I have two more nights in my lovely room with good size bathroom, king bed, large private patio and flatscreen TV. What makes Casa Fantasia such a special place though is its host, Impollido. It is truly his pleasure in the most understated way to make his guests happy. If it had not slipped out that he is working by himself right now I would never have guessed. The room has been beautifully cleaned, he is present and attentive for any requests, but never intrusive. Breakfast has been superb. I rarely eat a large meal in the morning but I have not been able to resist the extremely fresh orange juice and fruit and delectable made to order omelets.
The location is fabulous..two blocks rom the beach and only a few more to Olas Altas. Restaurants and bars abound just outside the door but it is quiet in the hotel. Wifi was perfect.
I tend to enjoy luxury which I won't say this is, but it has a grace and authentic Mexican realness that is worth its weight in gold. It has been a special experience I will not forget.
Hotel is in a great location the rooms was very spacious it only had a mildew odor when you walked in but we where not in the room that much so it was ok. Liked the fact that ypu can use the pools at the sister hotels close by. It was a family vacation my kids loved it.
Had a great time here! The rooms were spacious, great views from our room(#306) and wonderful staff. Happy Hour was great and if you can splurge a little more for the Plunge Pool on the balcony. It was well worth it for some private cool down time. I will recommend it to everyone I know and will def go again. Thanks to Alex, Victor and the amazing staff for all their wonderful help during our stay!
Overall we had a great vacation. The hotel is very family oriented and not oriented towards couples. The pools were always full with families as was the beach. It is an older hotel but fairly clean. Food was good but basic. The hotel is in a great location on the boardwalk (at the pier), close to the historic downtown with plenty of bars and restaurants. Overall a good stay at a very good value.
This is a wonderful condominium located in the heart of Puerto Vallarta. The apartment is beautiful, new, and has all the comforts you may need (A/C, dishwasher, washer and dryer, great kitchen). The location is amazing: a short 5-minute walk to the beach and the charming romantic zone. The staff is super friendly, helpful and a real delight to talk to. Lastly, the infinity pool at the top of the building is a dream: amazing views and excellent style. I'd recommend this place to anyone!!
The staff were quite accommodating and the location to the beach was great. However, it was so far away from the airport. I mean it was at the very end of the city in the opposite direction from the airport. Very nice condo, but limited air conditioning. Even in the room with air conditioning (I said ROOM, not rooms), it didn't work great and it didn't really have a chance since there were huge gaps in the doors heading out to the balcony. So be prepared to sweat or go when it is not July or August! We were told as we were leaving they have nicer, larger condos. We paid a premium for our room so I was a bit disappointed when I heard they had better. Overall, it was a good experience, but there were hotels/condos near by that were in better condition and cheaper (and with air conditioning in the entire place).

Perfect location between shops/restaurants and the beach. Easy walk everywhere. This old hotel has been remodeled nicely but still has the old world charm. Court yard, terraces and rooms were beautiful. Edgar and Bernardo were very nice and helpful.

The Rio Cuale divides downtown and the Romantic Zone, an area brimming with bars, restaurants, and shops. Isla Rio Cuale features a river walk and a small museum with pre-Columbian artifacts. Stretching for 16 blocks along the shore, the Malecón boardwalk is lined with bronze sculptures and palm trees. Boats depart from a nearby pier to Yelapa and Los Arcos, favored by divers and snorkelers.
