"We upgraded to Privileged upon arrival and our room is very nice, clean, and spacious. Customer service is excellent everywhere in resort, staff and servers are always happy and helpful and even offered to make me a fresh pot of coffee at 5am before the restaurants were open. Resort is extremely clean. Food has been excellent from the buffets all the way up to BeLoved. Always fresh and delicious. Drinks are great and haven’t waited for more than a minute or two for the next one, tipping well certainly speeds up service when there’s a crowd at the pool bar. Plenty of chairs available around pool and water, came out at 6am to hold chairs with our towels after reading all the reviews and I was the only one doing it, almost 7am now and only a few chairs reserved. Wifi works great from the lobby to the beach, full and speedy service everywhere. Yes the seaweed is abundant, they are working tirelessly to clean it up and it’s leaving by the truckfull but Mother Nature always wins. Really only smell it over on the Yucatan side because that’s the way the wind is blowing. Fortunately there’s plenty of pools and chairs so beach isn’t missed much. Masks are only required when walking into restaurants and getting food at buffet, no masks once seated. All in all the food is delicious, plentiful, and fresh, the service is outstanding, and the resort is clean and well maintained. My only regret is not staying for longer…. Would definitely recommend Catalonia Riviera Maya!!!"
