We stayed two nights at the Bear in September and enjoyed it immensely. This is a ancient Coaching Inn and so layout is a little quirky. But the room was a good size and extremely comfortable. The cottage was very clean throughout. Check-in was entirely online, as the cottages are self-contained from the main building. I think I was the only person staying during my visit, making it blissfully quiet. There are no dining facilities on-site, so you will need to drive to the recommended local places to eat. I didn't actually try any of them, as I was using the cottage as a base to visit family. I will definitely look to book here again next time I am in the area."
