Room 242 in the main complex. I had a very comfortable nights stay in that, the bed was a really good size and very cozy, the room was spaceous and air conditioned. It was good to have a tea and coffee service in the room, however, there isn't a mini fridge to keep drinks etc cool. The provision of an iron and ironing board in the room is very handy. Unfortunately, my nights sleep was marred by noisy revellers, who I assume were there for a wedding the next day, returning to their rooms well after midnight and making a racket in the hallway without any consideration for sleeping guests. I had dinner and breakfast in my room and both were excellent and served by very friendly staff. Check in was fast and the front of house team were very helpful. Both the restaurants are quite sumptuous and elegantly decorated. I managed to sneak a peak at the wedding setup in one of the large conference rooms and would recommend the Vale as an excellent wedding venue. Plenty of parking, the surrounding gardens and outside areas are well maintained and the view from my room was stunning. Overall, The Vale provides value for money and I would definitely recommend it for those travellers wishing to stay outside of the City hustle and bustle. A little improvement would be on better room allocation for those wanting a peaceful night's sleep. My room was directly above the wedding setup and I can only imagine how noisy it would have been, had the wedding been in progress the night I stayed.
