Sightseeing around North Kyoto

The museums and theaters add a sense of refinement, while the monuments and other landmarks offer local lore. You can attend a show at Kyoto Concert Hall, Kyoto Kaikan Concert Hall, and Samurai Kembu Theater. Attractions like Koryo Art Museum, Jotenkaku Museum, and Kitamura Museum highlight the local culture. Kamigamo Shrine, Daitokuji Temple, and Shimogamo Shrine are significant monuments. Getting around North Kyoto

If you want to get around the city, Kitayama Station is the closest metro stop. Others nearby include Matsugasaki Station and Kitaoji Station. To see the sights outside of town, hop aboard a train. Kyoto Seikadai-mae Station is the closet train station, but Kyoto Kino Station and Kyoto Nikenchaya Station are also nearby.

The closest major airport is Osaka (ITM-Itami), located 25.9 miles (41.7 km) from North Kyoto. The next closest airport is Kobe (UKB), located 41.9 miles (67.5 km) away.
