We stayed here for two nights in the Grace Hollywood room and felt like it was big enough, loved the coffee shop that was connected to the hotel and most importantly the location was awesome. The little lounge area we were able to use hot waters that we could pick up and little snack snacks in the afternoon along with a Chardonnay and a cab that were included as well as coffee/tea

What a great stay at the Gate. The location is excellent. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are great and breakfast and view in the morning second to none. Would highly recommend.

I couldn’t be happier with my stay at the Gates Hotel. The hotel was beautiful and was in a perfect location. Nishiki market was less than a 10 minute walk and there seemed to be a taxi right outside the hotel every time I needed one. The staff was very friendly and helped me set up my luggage transfer to my next hotel in Osaka. I would 1000 percent be staying here again the next time I’m in Kyoto.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Gate Hotel. The room was incredibly spacious, which was such a nice surprise—there was plenty of room for everything and it felt very comfortable. I also loved all the little amenities they provided, from toothbrushes to all the other thoughtful extras. They really had everything you could need. The location was excellent, very central and convenient for getting around. The staff was also wonderful—everyone was so kind, friendly, and helpful. Overall, I loved everything about my stay and would definitely stay here again. One of my favorite hotels during our trip to Japan!
