Facilities were great with little touches like sweets on the pillow. Room had clear damage/marks on the walls not repaired and the service was mostly average with one breakfast at the buffet were we didn’t get seen to at all and had find servers ourselves. Hotel facilities and options were great.

Nice resort hotel in the North West of Madeira, perfectly located for the natural pools. As an added bonus you get access to unlimited free day passes into the pools that require a paid ticket. The staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful. We had a friend call ahead (unknown to us) to tell them it was our honeymoon and they gave us a free bottle of wine which was a lovely gesture. Staff are really polite and friendly and also very helpful. The roof terrace has a beautiful view at night.. very well situated. As free breakfast go, the breakfast is 5* in my opinion. Really enjoyed our stay on this beautiful island.

We stayed at the Quinta do Sol for 7 nights, for our honeymoon. It is a lovely modern hotel, with plenty of lounge areas, both inside and outside the hotel. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly, and there are lots of options to book day trips at the reception to explore the island. Great stay, quiet and very pleasant hotel. Clean rooms, nice environment, kind and helpful staff.

Excellent breakfast and dinner buffets. Clean, quiet and friendly. A good inland location, away from the traffic, crowds and noise of hotels near the coast and in coastal towns.

This hotel is a real gem. The view from the rooms and restaurant is amazing. We couldn't get enough of it. The staff are very friendly and helpful and work tremendously hard. We have stayed here several times before and enjoyed each time. Most times we have hired a car as the journey is all uphill from Funchal (about 20 minutes). We have actually walked downhill into Funchal (takes about 3 hours) and used the bus service for a different type of holiday. The building of an indoor swimming pool...

The Quinta could do with a lick of paint and new carpets but if you are able to see beyond that this place has a great deal going for it. We didn't have a car for our week there and frankly didn't did one. The Quinta has a free minibus for trips into Funchal which we used twice and saved us a fortune on taxis. Being part of Charming Hotels we were able to be transported(free) and feed at some of the other hotels in the group and I would recommend this highly to anyone considering going. The...

Good hotel close to the old town and near plenty of restaurants and shops. The marina is always bustling with life.
