It is a beautiful hotel, we had a balcony with an ocean view. The breakfast is first class, the service was hospitable. And the location was perfect for us - only a 20 minute walk to the Funchal Marina, with an abundance of beautiful cafe's and shops. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Hotel is absolutely gorgeous and in an amazing part of Funchal. The rooftop pool
And bar are absolutely unbelievable with the best views in town.
The staff are incredible and the rooms were cleaned impeccably.
Possibly needing a little TLC in some parts of the room. But do not let it put you off absolutely fantastic would definetly return

We have just had a 3 night stay at the Hotel and it was lovely. When we arrived the reception staff were very friendly and gave us a brief tour, when our room was ready we were again escorted there by a member of reception. The room was a great size with a small patio area overlooking the lush gardens. We had dinner in the restauarant on our first night, which was excellent, service was impeccable. We used the bar a couple of times, loving the idea that we got to choose our "Happy Hour", we also ate in the Bar on 2 occasions and again the food was excellent. Breakfast was very good with a great slection of food.The Hotel is very traditional and has a lot of character, we will hopefully return one day and would recommend to anyone who would like to be within 15 mins of the centre of Funchal but still stay in a "little oasis".
