"Good hotel in good location off the Parade"
The hotel was clean and tidy, my room had two single beds, bathroom had all the usual facilities you need and all worked properly, plenty of towels. The dining area was big and plenty of tables set out for use, I was bed and breakfast and found the breakfast fantastic. Lots of choices from a fried breakfast to cereals or fruit. Plenty of food was there and you could go up as many times as you need to, the staff at breakfast were good, keeping busy making sure the breakfast table was topped up and clearing away when needed to. The staff at reception were good, I didn't need much but when I did ask for something it was provided with no trouble

"lovely hotel and restaurant, bar prices ridiculous"
Myself and my husband stayed at the Hotel d'France as an alternative to out usual hotel the Royal Yachet. The hotel is slightly out of town, but within walking distance. The rooms were lovely a nice size and very clean. We ate in Saffron the onsite Indian restaurant, truly delicious. We did notice the bar was pretty empty most nights and this could probably be put down to the bar prices, a gin and tonic ranged from £8 to £12, with a pint of lager costing £6 and when you pay hose prices you expect a good drink, not a warm pint and a lack of ice in the g and t. We ended up going over the road to the Monterey hotel to have a drink, more reasonable prices and great staff. The spa in e hotel is very nice and treatment was well worth having. Overall a nice hotel, but they need to have a review of small things like bar prices, if they were lowered I am sure they would encourage people to stay in the hotel.
