"Was really looking forward to staying here! The grounds where beautiful and the staff where great! Rooms are very dated bathroom was like a Travelodge with posh toiletries. plug next to bed was some funny plug so have to leave phone other side of the room, small old tv. Bed was two singles pushed together not really acceptable when you paid for a king size bed. Seats in room very uncomfortable and have been wrecked by dogs. Overall do pay the money to stay here plenty of better hotels in the area and cheaper"

"Look beyond carpets that need replacing & corridor decor in the rear of the hotel. Rooms were clean, bathrooms new, main entrance, reception & lounge were clean & renovated. Set in beautiful grounds, luscious greenery around excellent location, so close to Gulliver's Kingdom, very courteous & friendly staff, good enough selection for vegetarians at breakfast. As a family of 4, we loved it!"

"Air-conditioning in the room wasn't working in all rooms in the hotel on a day that was 34 degrees. Staff blamed the high temperature for reducing the effectiveness of the Air-conditioning system. Next day was a more manageable 24 degrees celsius and still inoperable air conditioning in the rooms. Absolutely unacceptable. The least a guest deserves in a hotel is comfort. Better invest in a proper Air-conditioning system before the business is run to the ground."

"Breakfast was good. Accommodating for food intolerances. Bathroom was not as clean as expected when we arrived and the shower constantly dripped. We stayed for 2 nights but got a note under the door that due to unforeseen circumstances they were unable to clean our room after our first night despite seeing two ladies cleaning near to our room. No one manning the bar so helpful reception lady made us some coffees. Pool was a nightmare but it was half term!"
