Hulme End Station, near to Hulme End, Staffordshire, Great Britain. The former terminus of the narrow gauge Leek and Manifold Railway <a title="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leek_and_Manifold_Valley_Light_Railway" rel="nofollow" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leek_and_Manifold_Valley_Light_Railway">Link</a><img style="padding-left:2px;" alt="External link" title="External link - shift click to open in new window" src="http://s0.geograph.org.uk/img/external.png" width="10" height="10"/> , which operated between 1904 and 1934 and has now been now transformed into a visitor centre. The building on the right is a recent rebuild of the former engine shed for the railway that has been undertaken as part of the expansion of the visitor facilities.

Entrance to Ecton Copper Mine Derbyshire is usually associated with lead mining. However, the area around Ecton has been mined for copper since the Bronze age. Information on this mine can be read on the plaque to the right of the entrance 326511.

This room faced directly onto the pool which was being used from 7.00 am each morning hence we were woken earlier than planned. Lovely hotel but a bit dated. Needs some good cleaning and fixing up. Staff were okay but not as friendly as I would expect and the corridors and common areas weren't the cleanest (mainly dusty)
