"2 families stayed whilst visiting Alton Towers. We couldn’t have stayed any closer, The Old Barn literally on the doorstep. The property have a very homely feel which made relaxing easy. There was plenty of room for the 12 of us. We could even all sit together around the large table in the kitchen to eat together. Beds were very comfortable and the location was quiet. "We stayed in a four poster bedroom in late October 26. The hotel is a fascinating place (in a good way). Steeped in history but extremely well maintained. The bedroom was superb, luxurious and super clean with a very comfortable bed. We had both evening meal and breakfast at the hotel. Both were exceptional and decent value too. The staff were all professional, polite and friendly. Only minor gripe is the parking. The hotel parking itself is small and tight. Plus you will need to be there early to get a space. Public options are a 5 min walk away and not cheap. Other than that we were delighted with our stay and would gladly stay again if in the area."

"Absolutely beautiful hotel set in gorgeous grounds. On arrival I joked with my husband that we were probably in an attic room 😄 and we were! but despite the stairs the room was great, big enough with a great bed. Cleanliness was excellent and bathroom huge with great fluffy towels, staff on reception were so pleasant and friendly both day and night. Breakfast hot and plentiful with choices for everyone. Will definitely stay again but perhaps in a ground floor room 😀"

"Room was a bit draughty, would’ve been nice if the curtains closed fully, room was a bit dusty as well, and breakfast was very busy and had to wait awhile for items to come out. The good things were the room was nice and modern and beds were comfy, reception staff greeted us well, and even the staff on duty during breakfast were happy and helpful even though it was very busy. The location was very good. I would return."
