The rooms were super clean, the beds were very comfortable, the parking easy and the breakfasts were awesome!

"The location was great because it’s not too far from the beach but it’s much quieter than the places on Belgrave Road. The bed is comfortable and the breakfast was great with nice quality sausage and bacon. Hosts are very welcoming. "

"We had a lovely, well stocked room in a quirky, characterful property. The house is very clean and well decorated with an abundance of interesting artwork and curiosities. Our room was excellent as were the hosts and they certainly go the extra mile to make the stay an enjoyable one. Breakfast is amazing and left me completely satisfied. This is now our go to option for staying in this area and we'll definitely be back. We're so happy that we discovered this little gem."

"We had a very comfortable stay at the hotel and were impressed with the facilities and friendly staff. We returned for the 2nd time having also enjoyed our first stay. Love the views of Torbay and the internal architecture and furnishings of the hotel. It was a shame that the outdoor pool was closed but enjoyed the indoor pool / spa facilities."

"Check in was quick and easy. Room was sooooo hot due to all glass fronted room which had been in direct sunlight all day with the curtains open. Asked for another room which was provided without fuss.
5 min walk (max) to beach & bars, harbour & marina about 10 mins away."
"Short and sweet: you get what you pay for. Windows wouldn’t open had to put a wedge in so it would, curtains stained with unknown substance. Pillowes we had on our bed was sofa cushions. Bathroom tiles was coming up. My daughters window by her bed would have been easy for anyone to open from outside luckily was was on 3rd floor. "
"Upon arrival met by Grace, (owner,housekeeper and cook) with one of the friendliest smiles. Upon entering accommodation tourist information readily available on the right hand side of the entrance, taken to the room by Grace (nice to have done rather than just being told where it is). Room was a deluxe room (number 3) consisting of a lounge, bedroom and en-suite , plenty of storage available, two tvs one in lounge and one in bedroom. The room was spotlessly clean with a large very comfortable bed, a settee and four chairs, tea, coffee and milk was provided in the room along with a fridge. We were asked what time we would like breakfast, breakfast in our case consisted of a good quality thickly cut rasher of bacon, a good well cooked sausage, fried egg, beans, half a tomatoe and mushroom, two slices of toast, butter and choice of jams along with tea, all cooked freshly. I was a little concerned that previous reviews had mentioned a steep drive leading to the hotel but I drive a large family saloon and had no issues going up the drive. Whichever way you leave the hotel to go into Torquay on foot left or right you walk downhill (10 minutes for able bodied) which obviously means yo have to walk uphill to return although there is a very close bus stop to take you into Torquay"
