The rooms are very clean and fresh and the beds are very comfortable. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. We reLly enjoyed are 2 night stay and will be definitely returning in the near future. My only criticism is that the bar was not open at 9.45 on the evening on our second night. They close it if there is no one drinking, but this is no good to people returning to the hotel at night expecting to have a nice drink before bed. The hotel should ensure it is definitely open until 11pm to facilitate this. Room 19 on first floor was clean and adequate for 3 night stay. Ensuite was 'bijoux' but could do with a bit more shelving/storage. Would probably chose a different room if staying longer. Public rooms excellent as was food, Good bar with reasonable prices and staff efficient and helpful. Bus into town from just outside entrance was useful. The hotels garden was so pretty with plenty of recliners and tables and chairs. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious We are hoping to return for another holiday in the near future. Lovely to come back to in the evenings after visiting the Princess Theatre for a show. Breakfast great, efficient service. Room could have done with updating but it was a standard and had everything you needed.
