"Easy to reach town and sites"
I found the room to be noisy till late as a very busy main road runs right by it and always seems to have a traffic jam, do not stay here if you have any kind of mobility problems as the stairs to the rooms are narrow and steep ( no lift so you have to carry your suitcase up ), staircase seems to always smell of fried food, when you check in they give you two keys one for your room one for the side door which i suggest you always use for going in and out as it means you do not have to walk through the bar each time, the rooms could do with a tidy up as there are many shabby features (paint splatters on floors inside and in corridors, toilet seats loose, broken loo roll holders etc)

I generally stay elsewhere when I come to Glasgow. Will make a point about staying here from now on. Staff were friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. Also a great breakfast and REAL COFFEE!!

"Great value hotel in Glasgow."
Spent two days at the argyle western hotel which is located in the university district of Glasgow. This neighbourhood is friendly with great pubs and resteraunts. Coffee shops are non-chain types with good coffee and great people watching. The manager went across the street on our first breakfast and bought and gave me a jar of peanut butter for my toast. Our room 105 was large and there was no street noise. It's a nice 45 minute walk downtown. I would recommend this location over staying downtown. Staff are like family. Coffee at breakfast could be improved. Food was large portions. Rob.

"Hotel is 20' from downtown"
Very expensive for what you get. The hotel is 20' from the attractions in Glasgow. It should be less expensive.

"Great hotel and great location"
Stayed here for 2 nights. Very friendly staff. We were able to check in at 11pm due to a delayed flight. Breakfast was quite good. Minutes away from Botanical garden and subway station. Would definitely stay again!

"Family Room"
The room was large even with two foldaway beds for the children. It was quite warm, even though the heating was off and the windows open - but cooled down sufficiently when it was 'sleep time'! Read reports that the Wi-Fi wasn't too good, but we had no problems (we were in the main building), but we did have issues with the TV reception - very frustrating at 7 in the morning when the kids wanted CBeebies!!

"Nice hotel in City Centre"
Two minute walk to the Buchanan Street pedestrian mall (The Style Mile), lots of shops and places to eat. 15 minute walk to Glasgow Cathedral, Necropolis, and Provands Lordship (oldest house in Glasgow). (Room was a little small by North American standards, but offered a good free breakfast.)
