"Nice, artsy hotel; VERY small rooms"
Citizen M is a very modern hotel and has amazing, artistic, funky, large common spaces. Rooms, however, are the size of a cabin on an ocean liner and are very small for 2 adults. Baths are very small too. Both are too small in our opinion. The beds are huge and super comfortable but take up 1/2 of the room and are at one end. You cannot walk around the bed. The bed is positioned so that one person must climb over the other to get in and out - though this can be handled by simply reorienting the pillow and blankets. This hotel is best for short one-night stays when you are traveling light, for a quick business trip, or if you are a twenty-something with a back pack. The hotel was nice enough to move us to a room for persons with disabilities that was not needed and that was a little bigger. We enjoyed our stay but I would only stay there again under certain circumstances.

"Excellent central location in the heart of Glasgow"
We were very pleasantly surprised at the calibre of Glasgow Central Hotel, given that it is located right in the wonderfully large train station. You can see the money that has gone into refurbishing by the new owners to restore a sophisticated old elegance to a hotel with so much history. Any meals we ate there were excellent and the Champagne Bar is just the ideal spot to meet up with friends and family. Immediate access to museums, galleries etc.Our short stay was delightful and we'd definitely return.

"Great, inexpensive hotel"
We were only here for 1 night but the staff was amazing! They were very welcoming and we had fun chatting with "cuddles" :) The hotel is located about 10 blocks from the train station and is centrally located. Didnt eat at the restaurant but the drinks were nice and cold, beds comfortable and staff wonderful

Everything faultless apart from small area with tables and chairs outside bar area which I assumed was smoking area, but it was no smoking. Smoking area was small shelter with no seats. Smokers are paying customers and deserve better

"Overnight stay before a tour"
Great stay. Front desk was very friendly. I was able to check in early. The room was very comfortable. Very good location. About a 5 minute walk from the airport bus stop. One street over from one of Glasgow's main shopping area. Easy 5-10 minute walk from the city center main attractions.

"Modern Hotel with all the Conveniences"
While it was about a 20 minute walk from the Downtown area of Glasgow, we really enjoyed staying at the Village Hotel. The hotel was newer, clean, and had ample guest parking. The restaurant, which we tried for breakfast (great buffet to get you going in the morning!) and lunch was delicious, and the staff were very helpful and went out of their way to find out about the weather for the time we were staying there. It was raining on our last day, and the one girl (Manager?) was suggesting lots of indoor activities we could do in the area. The amenities of the hotel were great--full gym (which we didn't use) but the pool, hot tub and sauna/steam were a nice treat after long days of sightseeing.
